On opening my Capital One account, two fraudulent charges were posted to my account.?
These charges were both posted to GOOGLE*ADWORDS CC@GOOGLE.COM, the first on March 20th for $58.75 and the second on March 31 for $227.08. I contacted Capital One and cancelled the account.
I searched the Web and found that other individuals have been defrauded in the same manner with charges from GOOGLE*ADWORDS CC@GOOGLE.COM CA. One person stated that the card that was charged had not been used to make internet purchases. So the method used to obtain account information may not necessarily be via the internet. Fraudulent charges have been made to debit cards, credit cards, checking accounts, PayPal accounts – any type of financial instrument.
I contacted Google via email – no response yet. Any ideas who these thieves are and how they use Google Adwords to get money?
Sorry to hear of you dilemma but you should call capital one and get them to recall those payments don’t let them fob you off.
